Smarter enemies -> better game


It's been a while, but I have finally updated Entropy again. And the biggest change is the use of grids and paths to allow certain enemies to have much better pathfinding than before. "Smarter" enemies will no longer run aimlessly at walls or blow themselves up with their grenades, but will go around corners and avoid obstacles as they chase the player. It took forever to get this right and it still has some kinks, so bear with me!

New levels and new enemies have also been added, and as the screencap shows, the health is now visible as hearts. I figured a game that throws a bunch of numbers at you can be a bit daunting, even a relatively simple one as Entropy, and I prefer this visually. And of course, a ton of bugs have been fixed, secrets and exploration items have been added to older levels and everything is tweaked for the better.

But the best is yet to come. I did a lot of research last week and discovered a feasible way to incorporate online co-op game for 2-4 players for Entropy! I want to finish the single-player campaign first, so this is still a while off, but I can't wait to show this feature off when it's even partially done. So look forward to that!
